Which ones came back
Some items on the discontinued list are on the menu again under the same name: Jalapeño Cheddar Biscuit. The Justaburger is a special case: the standalone sandwich is gone, but it lives on as the Justaburger Kids Whatameal ($4.99). The Jalapeño Cheddar Biscuit is sold again on its own at $1.99.
Kids meals are on the kids menu and biscuits on Whataburger biscuits.
Meals that were renamed, not removed
The database also lists many items such as "Whataburger Meal" and "Triple Meat Whataburger Meal" as discontinued. Those are not lost items: Whataburger now calls its combos Whatameals, so the old "Meal" names were retired while the food stayed the same.

Limited-time burgers
Several of the discontinued burgers were specialty burgers rather than core numbers: the A.1. Thick & Hearty, the Chop House Cheddar, the Green Chile Double and the BBQ Cheddar. Specialty flavors sometimes return, so a burger on this list may come back.

Breakfast items that left
Most breakfast entries on the list are versions of the Jalapeño Cheddar Biscuit sandwich, with bacon, sausage or gravy. The plain Jalapeño Cheddar Biscuit is back at $1.99, so you can still build something close: a Jalapeño Cheddar Biscuit plus a side of bacon or sausage from the breakfast menu.
The six-pack of Cinnamon Rolls is also gone; the single Cinnamon Roll is still $3.39. Current breakfast items are on the breakfast menu.
Drinks that left
Three drinks are marked discontinued: Cherry Coke, Caffeine-free Diet Coke and Powerade Fruit Punch. Powerade Mountain Berry Blast is still in the drink line-up. The current list is on the Whataburger drinks menu, and caffeine-free picks on caffeine-free drinks at Whataburger.
Closest current replacements
- Monterey Melt fans: the Patty Melt ($8.79) has Monterey Jack and grilled onions.
- Green Chile Double fans: the Bacon Blaze Jalapeño Double brings the heat.
- BBQ Cheddar fans: a #1 with aged cheddar (+$0.80) and Honey BBQ sauce.
- Grilled Chicken Melt fans: the Grilled Chicken Sandwich ($6.79) with Monterey Jack added.
