Sandwich or Whatameal
Every number can be ordered alone or as a Whatameal. The meal adds medium fries and a medium drink; on the #1 that is $3.60 more. Our math: medium fries ($2.99) and a medium soda ($2.69) bought separately would be $5.68, so the meal is the better deal if you want both.

How a Whataburger comes
The #1 comes on a 5-inch bun with a 5-inch beef patty, tomato, lettuce, pickles, diced onions and mustard. It does not come with cheese, ketchup or mayonnaise unless you ask. The #4 adds jalapeños and cheese, the #5 bacon and cheese, and the #6 avocado and bacon.
Jr. burgers (#7 and #8) use a 4-inch bun and patty with the same toppings. Size and price differences are on Whataburger Jr. vs regular.
Custom orders
Custom orders are normal at Whataburger. Removing a topping or swapping the sauce costs nothing. Extra toppings are priced: bacon is $1.80, avocado $1.35, aged cheddar $0.80 and jalapeños $0.70 at the store we checked.
- Add cheese: the most common change to a #1.
- Grilled onions: 20 calories, the topping on the Patty Melt.
- Swap mustard for a sauce: Creamy Pepper, Honey BBQ or Sweet & Spicy.
- No bun or lettuce-wrapped: drops 310 calories on a full-size burger.

Ordering breakfast
Breakfast has its own numbers, from #20 up. The #20 is the Taquito with Cheese ($3.89), #21 Breakfast On A Bun ($4.69), #22 the Biscuit Sandwich ($4.79), #23 the Pancake Platter ($4.99), #24 the Breakfast Burger ($5.99) and #25 the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit ($3.99). When to order what
Breakfast is served from 11 pm to 11 am, and the regular menu is available around the clock at 24-hour stores. Of the 1,208 store pages we read, 1,129 list a 24-hour drive-thru on Monday.
