Whataburger Sweet Tea & Tea Gallon: $2.69, 10 Calories (2026)

Tea on the Whataburger menu

Whataburger brews iced tea in sweet and unsweet versions and sells it by the cup or by the gallon. Two tea prices were captured at the San Antonio store:

• Tea (medium, unsweet): $2.69, 10 calories.
• Family-Size Drink, sweet tea gallon: $4.99, 1,780 calories for the whole gallon.

A medium sweet tea costs the same as unsweet in most stores, but its calories were not shown in our check.

Sweet tea gallon: how much per glass

A US gallon is 128 ounces, so the gallon of sweet tea is sixteen 8 oz glasses. At $4.99, that is about $0.31 a glass, and about 111 calories per 8 oz glass (our math from the gallon figure).

For a group, the gallon is far cheaper than buying medium drinks one by one: two medium teas cost $5.38, more than a third of the gallon's price. See group ordering for party orders.

Calories and caffeine

Unsweetened medium tea has 10 calories, 3 g of carbs, 0 g of sugar and 30 mg of sodium. Whataburger's nutrition guide lists small, medium and large unsweet tea at 5, 10 and 15 calories.

Brewed tea contains caffeine, but Whataburger does not publish a caffeine figure. For other choices see caffeine-free drinks.

Ordering tips

• Half sweet, half unsweet cuts the sugar and is a common request.
• Tea with lemonade; see the Craft Lemonade page.
• Raspberry tea: Whataburger's older nutrition guide lists a Fuze raspberry iced tea; ask whether your store still has it.
• Call ahead for gallons before a party so the store has enough brewed.

Lemonade details are on the Craft Lemonade page, and cup sizes in Whataburger drink sizes. Every drink is on the drinks menu.

Sweet tea for parties

A gallon pours about sixteen glasses, so a party of thirty needs two gallons, which cost $9.98 at the San Antonio price. Unsweet gallons may be available too; ask when you order. Pair it with the 10 Whataburger Box for an easy group lunch.
